Hi Donny,
I believe you are doing things correctly with using the External Script function and I am glad to know that it shows under your username. The reason the script is not outputting is because a Code Block cannot be empty. Please consider writing a single line of code in the Code Block. For example, a HTML comment such as:
<!-- Linking jquery-1.7.1.js script -->
This will force CJT to output the template (i.e. external script) that is linked to your Code Block.
Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi Donny,
Placing third party scripts using the External Script function saves the script in Templates so you can embed or link them. If you were to go into Templates you should see it in there. You should be able to check to see if it is linked to the Code Block in the Templates Panel.
Hope this helps.

DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi David,
Sorry about the inconvenience you are experiencing. We only notice this issue when there are security plugins such as BulletProof Security installed. Wordfence Security is installed. Although rare, the issue is often caused by strict security policies in the .htaccess file that needs to be loosened.
Can you disable all plugins and try again.
Can you tell me what PHP edition you are running on your server.
Did you run CJT Free before purchasing?
The browser cache will need to be cleared if this is the case.Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi Jacob,
Thanks for reporting.
I have not forgotten about this issue. I want to make sure this is fixed.
In the meantime, I will personally let you both know when there is an update for Core and PLUS.Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi Jesse,
This is a strange intermittent issue and is one that is often the hardest to resolve.
Please keep log of the times it is happening and we will see if we can find a pattern for why this is occurring. If only more people could report this issue then we would be able understand what is causing it.Keep us posted with additional findings.
Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantI am sorry Jesse, I have no idea about Wordfence.
Damian BakerParticipantHi Jesse,
Unfortunately we have not tested CJT with Wordfence. Have you tried temporarily deactivating or disconnecting Wordfence to see if your license checker syncs with our server?
That said, it is interesting to add this to our knowledge base of issues if Wordfence is indeed an issue. Please keep us posted on this.
Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantIn the backend I see that you have installed CJT PLUS and CJT CORE via those license codes.
Now I am wondering if you have cleared out your browser cache. Do you have any security plugins installed. This is the first time we have heard of this error, so we need more information from you to solve it.Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi David,
I sent you an email with the coupon code.
Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi David,
I received no email from you. It seems there may be an issue with the Contact form and there should be a notification that your email was sent. I will check it tonight.
In the meantime, please email us on: info@css-javascript-toolbox.com so we can provide the complimentary coupon via reply email so you can upgrade to the CJT Dev Unlimited version.
Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi Jesse,
Thanks for your support message and glad to hear that you appreciate the new update – especially after clearing the browser cache. 🙂
As for the Code Block title text field being a lot wider, this is a fair call. Ok, I will look into widening it for the next update.
I appreciate your recommendation.Kind Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi David,
Tell me, do you have the latest version of CJT CORE and CJT PLUS, which is the new responsive versions?
Since you are an earlier CJT PLUS subscriber, you are entitled to the latest version with the first year at no cost. There is a chance this issue may actually be fixed now as we did work on some database error handling.
Let me know.Kind Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi David,
Thanks for reporting this potential database error.
I will discuss this with my colleague and see is there is a solution to this.We will let you know when we learn more.
Kind Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi there,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Unfortunately the CJT plugin does not show Private page at present, but this would certainly be a good idea to develop in the near future.
In fact, there has been a number of other users who have also requested Private and Draft Pages and Posts to show in the Assignment Panel.Kind Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi Steve,
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I have been travelling overseas during the past few weeks.
I think you are right as we removed this from the CSS & JavaScript Toolbox submenu and placed it in the Plugins section. Come to think about it, maybe we should also have it in the submenu. 🙂
Now you should have the latest version of the CJT Free plugin from WordPress.org installed (at the time of writing is version 8.2).
Then when you install the latest version of CJT Plus, which I believe is version 1.1.1, you should be able to click into Plugins and see the new Setup link under CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS. You should see this as: Deactivate | Edit | Setup.Hope this helps.
Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi David,
I apologise for the delay as I have been travelling the past few weeks.
Glad to hear you resolved the problem, which makes perfect sense. As for your additional questions, let me investigate this further with my colleague and I will try to get some answers for you soon.
Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi David,
This is a great question, and we would need to do some additional benchmarking tests for character count within a single code block.
On average, it is about 40 lines per kB, so 1800 lines would equate to around 45kB.We have performed benchmarking tests for how many total code blocks and how many pages/posts that the CJT plugin can handle. Once we investigate this further and learn its limitations, we will let you know.
Thinking further about this, maybe a benchmark page could be a good idea to have on the CJT website. 🙂
Thanks.Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi Simon,
I received a response from my developer, however sorry it is rather short. It’s just he is busy with so many projects at the moment.
Anyway, he reply was:“Yes, you can mix PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You can programmatically output Post ID along with the JavaScript using PHP.”
I hope that helps you.
Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi Simon,
Thanks for your support question and sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
That is a very good question and one that I will pose to my colleague.I will let you know as soon as I get an answer.
Regards,
Damian BakerDamian BakerParticipantHi Courtney,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
I just did an export with one of my sites that has over 36 code blocks with many blocks containing a lot of code and it exported perfectly. The only issue I had was having to allow popups as they were getting blocked by the Chrome browser. Other than that, it does work. Try a different browser, and make sure popups are not being blocked. I am also wondering if there is a clash with one of your other plugins, which you could deactivate temporarily to see if that solves the issue. I am also wondering if your code blocks contain too much code for CJT to handle. Please check your largest code block and let me know!
From initial thought, there may be a server configuration issue, a memory issue, a popup blocking issue or something else, which would require further investigation.

March 5, 2016 at 1:10 PM in reply to: Activation – Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error #12450Damian BakerParticipantHi Douglas,
Sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing when trying to activate CJT, and thank you for reporting the error to us.
To let you know, we have fixed this issue plus a number of other issues last week and are aiming to release the next version very soon. Hopefully if all the testing goes well, this could be within days.Kind Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi Matty,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Thanks for taking the time to write back and I am glad you found the answer. I will keep what you said in mind for a simple and user-friendly multisite interface as well as better documentation.Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi Steven,
Thanks for letting us know. Much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi Clint,
Thanks very much for providing more details and letting me know that you have not managed to resolve this. I will try to get some answers for you on this issue when I can. I hope it is not too urgent as I am so busy these days with another project called Teacher’s Companion. Also I am sorry I don’t have the answers upfront as I am more the UI designer of the project than developer/coder and this project has taken a little backseat. We do hope to get back into it soon though with new features, bug fixes, etc.
Thanks in advance for your understanding.
Kind Regards,
DamianDamian BakerParticipantHi Clint,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have been flat out with other projects.
By any chance, did you end up resolving it?I will have to forward this message to my colleague to see if he has any ideas on this.
I’ll keep you posted.Kind Regards,
