I get so confused by the version numbers and which version I have.

jesseParticipantUnfortunately this isn’t an intermittent issue for me. It happens 90% of the time I load the plugins page. Occasionally it won’t happen — normally on the 2nd or more refreshes. But in my experience if it’s the first time I’ve loaded the plugin page in a while, it will happen.
jesseParticipantIt turns out this problem is not with Wordfence. Even with the plugin disabled I still get this error periodically. Any other tips or places I could look to see what’s going on? Have you heard of this problem from anyone else?
jesseParticipantThis is still happening unfortunately. But I think it’s definitely related to Wordfence. Any other tips or ways to check for updates outside of the Plugins page?
jesseParticipantTurns out it was Wordfence! I turned its firewall to “learning mode” then loaded the plugins page again. Then when I re-enabled the firewall, there were no errors anymore.

This normally is not an issue. Occasionally I’ll get a warning when I try to save new code in the Toolbox, but I just click the button that allows me to save anyway, and it works.
Have you tested the Toolbox with Wordfence before?
