Install CJT / CJT PLUS

Before installing and activating CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS, you must first install and activate the core CSS & JavaScript Toolbox plugin, which is free from WordPress.org here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/css-javascript-toolbox

Once the core CSS & JavaScript Toolbox is installed and activated, you can then install and activate the premium CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS as you normally would via either the WordPress Plugins Page or Manually via FTP directly to the Plugins folder on your server.

Easy guide for you to Install the CJT PLUS

To install the plugin, go to your WordPress Admin panel and click Plugins in the left menu. Select Add New, then click Upload Plugin. Choose the css-javascript-toolbox-plus.zip file and click Install Now. Once installed, hit Activate Plugin and follow any setup prompts. Your CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS is now ready to use!

Make sure you are in the Admin section of WordPress

Navigate to your zip file titled css-javascript-toolbox-plus.zip

Using an FTP client, navigate to your WordPress Plugins directory: /wp-content/plugins/. Upload the css-javascript-toolbox-plus folder (not the zip file) into this directory. Then, log into your WordPress Admin, go to Plugins, and refresh the page if needed. Locate CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS, click Activate, and follow any setup prompts. Your plugin is now installed and ready to use!

Log into your WordPress Admin and navigate to Plugins from the left-hand menu. Click Add New, then Upload Plugin. Click Choose File, select css-javascript-toolbox-plus.zip, and hit Install Now. Once uploaded, click Activate Plugin and follow any setup prompts. Your CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS is now installed and ready to use!

NOTES

File Name Check

It’s a good idea to make sure that the CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS compressed zip file that you will upload via the WordPress Plugins page is titled: css-javascript-toolbox-plus.zip

Folder Name

The same goes for uploading the CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS plugin folder manually using FTP. Remember to upload the extracted folder and not the zip file. Please ensure that the folder is titled: css-javascript-toolbox-plus

Clear Cache After Installation

Once you have installed and activated the core CSS & JavaScript Toolbox and the premium CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS extension, you will need to fully clear your browser cache to pull in any new scripts, stylesheets, icons, etc. This includes, clearing out and purging any caches made by third-party cache plugins.

Upgrading from Previous Versions

CJT Free/Core and CJT PLUS must be running on the same version.

If you are using the latest version of CJT Free/Core from WordPress.org and your CJT PLUS version is outdated, you will encounter an incompatibility notice in the header. It is strongly recommended to use the latest CJT PLUS premium plugin alongside CJT Free/Core to ensure full compatibility, security, and stability. If your CJT PLUS license has expired, please purchase a new premium CJT PLUS license here.
