Important Release: CJT version 11.8

We have just released a critical update for CJT and CJT PLUS addressing an XSS vulnerability, which was detected by Wordfence and a number of other security plugins.  Keep your website safe and make sure you have updated CJT and CJT PLUS to version 11.8 today.

Get CJT PLUS and save 75%

CJT PLUS allows you to add code to your entire website, all posts or pages, via shortcodes, widgets, Gutenburg blocks, tags, URLs, regular expressions, and much more! CJT PLUS also gives you 8 additional hooks and an inverter feature (i.e. run code everywhere but …) for more precise assignments. Why not take advantage of the huge price reduction and save 75% off the regular price now.

CJT version 11.5 is here

Version 11.5 provides compatibility with PHP version 8 and MySQL version 8, and a major fix for a duplicate code block ID issue that was affecting some users.  Also, if the ‘wp-content’ directory is renamed to something different (e.g. ‘content’), CJT will now find any custom content directories and install correctly.  CJT PLUS also has a few fixes so make sure you are licensed and updated.  🙂

Big changes to CJT version 11.4

Any fresh installs of CJT Free version 11.4 will no longer have the Aux and Adv tabs, while existing CJT Free users will continue to be able to use them. The Aux and Adv assignment panels will now only be available in the CJT PLUS edition. Apart from this major change, we have made a number of fixes to some editor tools and also implemented a new tool button popup library that is faster and more responsive.

Are you wanting to add a live chat service to your WordPress-powered website in literally minutes?  Well, it’s so easy using CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS.

Before moving ahead with a live chat service, you may want to ask yourself. Are you able to monitor the live chat messages – or at least during business hours? Keep in mind that high website traffic may incur a lot of chat messages, and could even be a full-time job for one or more people. That said, it’s a good thing to help more customers as this would close more sales for you. The idea for any chat solution is to monitor your messages and respond in a timely manner. This is how you provide a high level of customer service.

Yes, I can manage a chat service!

Now if you are able to provide this service for your website customers and site visitors, then a live chat service is highly recommended for your website.

We recommend LiveChat, which is the industry recognised website solution that is commonly used in eCommerce sites that allow your customers and site visitors to ask questions directly to you in a live setting. In fact, a recent survey showed that 44% of online consumers say that having questions answered by a live person while purchasing something is one of the most important and highly regarded features on a website.

Welcome to CJT PLUS version 11.3

CJT PLUS USERS – IMPORTANT NOTICE!

CJT Free/Core and CJT PLUS must be running on the same version.

If you are running the latest CJT Free/Core version 11.3 from WordPress.org and CJT PLUS version 11.2 or under, then you will see an incompatibility notice in the header.  It is highly recommended to be running the latest CJT PLUS premium plugin 11.3 alongside CJT Free/Core 11.3 to ensure 100% compatibility, security and stability.  If your CJT PLUS license has expired, please purchase a new premium CJT PLUS license here.

CJT FREE/CORE USERS – IMPORTANT NOTICE!

CJT Free will soon have features removed and added to CJT PLUS.  Features that will be removed in this first phase include the Adv tab (URLs and Expressions) and some other features that we are yet to finalise.  This unfortunate decision has not come lightly, but is absolutely required to keep the project moving forward after 10 years.  The entire CJT project is reliant on funding for continued development.  The CJT project is kept alive with your support.

THANK YOU

We would like to thank everyone who have supported us with a purchase of a CJT PLUS license. We are also immensely grateful for those who have continued to support us with a renewal of their licenses.

In the coming updates, we have a number of super-cool new features we are planning to work on and we will keep you posted on what these features will be real soon.

We have upgraded the code block toolbar to make things simpler by changing many icon buttons to textual buttons, and implemented counters so you can keep tab of the stats. The vertical editor toolbar has had a revamp too.

If you have upgraded to the latest version 11, you will need to clear and refresh your browser cache to pull in the new scripts and stylesheets. This includes, clearing out and purging any caches made by third-party cache plugins.

This version now supports PHP versions 7.0 or higher to make it even more compatible with earlier versions.

Consent My Cookie – GDPR Compliance

As you may already know, cookies can perform a number of useful tasks such as recording your visitor IP address, logging personal settings or track user behaviours from page to page. Since the inception of the 2002 ePrivacy Directive, also known as ‘The Cookie Law’, some webmasters placed simple banners or popups stating that cookies are sent with a simple consent button for users to click. Fast-forward to 25th May 2018 with the birth of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and updated ePrivacy Directive (ePR), the quick and dirty methods of sending cookies without warning site visitors are no longer acceptable.

The 4 Injection Types Video

In this video demonstration you will learn about the four main CJT injection types, which include: CJT Global Blocks, CJT Shortcodes, CJT Metabox Blocks, and CJT Widget Blocks. You will learn how to create each type and then understand how to find your code blocks within the page source code.

Priority Ordering with CJT Code Blocks

This video demonstrates how you can force higher ordered Code Blocks to execute before lower ordered Code Blocks. Ordering these can be very useful especially when functionality or output is dependant on the execution order. If for example you need to move a number of bottom (lower down) blocks higher up to override blocks above, you need to do the following:

  • Drag the block you want to move by clicking the block toolbar
  • Drop it in the new position
  • After re-ordering all target blocks, click ‘Save All’ Changes’ button

Note: Nothing will be saved until the ‘Save All Changes’ button is clicked. As long as you have not clicked the ‘Save All Changes’ button, you can revert the block orders back by simply refreshing the page.

Changing the Code Block Title

This video demonstrates how to change the Code Block title in the WordPress Plugin called CSS & JavaScript Toolbox.

I also provide a few naming tips to help you know the type of code used (i.e. JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and HTML) when the Code Blocks are in the minimised state.
